GENERAL

Sonisto is a platform that will make it easier to find plugins, handle installations, passwords, updates etc. Try out our “Scan & Organize” tool that will help you get a complete overview of all the plugins you own – or take a tour in our shop where you’ll find FabFilter, Waves, Universal Audio, Soundtoys, Eventide, Antares, u-he and many other top brands as well as exciting upcoming developers.

All in all our goal is to make the boring stuff like downloads, installations, updates etc. less time consuming – that’s why our mantra is “More Time For Making Music”! 🙂

Watch this video where Stefan explains the first steps to get started:

Yes. This is how the system knows the ownerships in your Sonisto plugin library – also when you migrate to a new system.

Yes.
But once you get the hang of it, it will be a huge time saver. Promise.

Yes. Sonisto is free and always will be – and we have a lot of awesome high quality plugins that are also completely free.
You also have the option to buy commercial plugins from well known brands – and you can choose to upgrade to a paid Sonisto Pro membership if you want the extra perks that comes with that.

Prices may not be exactly the same, depending on sales taxes in different countries.

No. Even though Sonisto is built in Linux, it’s for Mac and Windows users only. Sorry, Linux users…

Sonisto Access Manager

Watch this video, where Stefan takes you through the DAW settings in Sonisto:

We have done (most of) the hard work for you. When you install the SONISTO desktop app, you’ll be prompted to choose your DAW from a dropdown menu – and from that, SONISTO will know which plugin formats to install.
If you’re using more than one DAW on your computer, just add another.
If you want to manually choose your plugin formats you can do that too.
You can always go back and change your settings in the Sonisto Access Manager.
These settings will have an effect when installing products in the “Auto-installers” category.

That’s because the location of VST3, AU and AAX are fixed and can not be changed.

If you are using VST2s, most DAWs will find your VST2 plugins in these standard locations (and if not, check the instructions for your DAW).

Windows:
VST2 plugins: C:\Program Files\VSTPlugins

Mac:
Machintosh HD:/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST/ /VST2 .vst file extension)

You can do that in the DAW settings in the Sonisto Access Manager. At the bottom activate “Kontakt” and choose the file location – this will impact the sample libraries in the Auto-installer category, that have been purchased in Sonisto.

Sonisto Access Manager - Library

In order to install plugins in Sonisto, you need to download and install the Sonisto Access Manager. Here you can handle all your plugin installations in the LIBRARY section. See below for more details.

Yes, there are three types of plugins in the Library overview: Auto-installers, Manual installers and Scanned plugins. You can choose between the categories at the top of the LIBRARY page.

Auto-installers are products that have been purchased or added in Sonisto and are fully integrated.
You can choose to install everything in this category with the INSTALL ALL button – or install individually by selecting the product and installing the plugin format you want

Manual installers are products that have been purchased or added in Sonisto and can be installed by selecting the product on the list and then following the instructions.

Scanned plugins is the list of all plugins that are installed on your system, if you have used the “Scan & Organize” plugin management tool. (Try it – it’s awesome..!!!) Most plugins will be shown in an overview where it’s brand categorized, with download link etc. – and you can add your own data like login codes, serial keys etc. for easy access.

Sonisto Access Manager - Scan & Organize

“Scan & Organize” is our new, unique plugin management software that will give you a complete overview of all your installed plugins, and make it easier to keep track of everything – reinstallations, updates, login codes, passwords, serial keys etc.

Watch this video where Stefan will take you through the basics – and read below for more details:

Start by selecting “Scan & Organize” in the left side menu in the Sonisto Access Manager – and click “Scan plugins”. Now Sonisto will scan your entire plugin library and create a complete list of all plugins that are installed on your system.
The scan usually takes 1-10 minutes depending on the size of your library, the speed of your computer etc.

To see the list of all your plugins, select ‘Library’ in the left side and then ‘Scanned’ at the top menu.

Most plugins will show up brand categorized, with a download link, etc… the percentage of covered plugins will grow over time. The ones that are not covered, will show up with a name, but no image, brand etc… however you can easily add these things yourself if needed. Plus you can easily add additional info like serial keys, license keys etc.

The scan also automatically generates a list of brand instances in your Password Vault. See the ‘Password Vault’ section for more information.

No! We are aware that installing plugins is a complicated and time consuming process – and that is exactly what we’re trying to do something about. We are not changing any installation files with this service – we are simply creating a better overview and easier access to installations and updates.

No.
We don’t support piracy, but we are also not the police, and we don’t have a “black book”. We make it easier to install and update legit software, so we’re hoping this service will encourage people to buy more of their software.

Sonisto Access Manager - Sonique

In the left side menu in the Sonisto Access Manager you’ll find Sonique which is our AI chatbot that is optimised for everything related to music production, mixing, songwriting etc.
Try asking for mixing or production tips – or ideas for writing song lyrics. You’ll find that this can be an extremely powerful tool.
Free users have 3 prompts per month, while Pro members have unlimited access.
Watch this video where Stefan will tell you more about it:

Sonisto Access Manager - Password Vault

The Password Vault is a safe place to store all your login information.

Stefan will take you through the basic use in this video:

When you scan your plugin library, Sonisto will automatically create a list of password instances for each brand that is recognised.

Now you can set the ‘Default Password’ at the top – use the email and password you use the most. This will now show on all brands/password instances and all products.

After that, you can change the logins/passwords that differ from the default one. This will change the login information for that brand and all products related to that brand. Once you have changed a login on a brand, you can’t change it with the ‘Default Password’ setting.

All the passwords, codes, serial keys etc. you save in Sonisto are encrypted and stored safely!

Sonisto Pro membership

Sonisto Pro is a paid membership where you get:
– 1 premium plugin every month (perpetual license – to own for life). The monthly plugin is pre-determined, however the value of this plugin alone exceeds the price of the Pro membership multiple times.
– Full access to “Scan & Organize”, including update notifications etc.
– 20% discount on everything in the Sonisto store. And when we say “everything” we mean “EVERYTHING”! Even products that are already discounted!
– Full access to Sonique – our music optimised AI chatbot.

Sonisto Pro is $9.99/mo or $99.99/yr and you can read more and upgrade here.

As a basic platform Sonisto is free. And for all the products you buy in Sonisto (including the more than 70 freebies!) you can handle downloads, installations etc. in the Sonisto Access Manager Library without a Pro membership.

For now (and as an early bird perk) you get lifetime ownership of the plugins you receive every month as a Pro member! This means you keep the plugins you have received even if you should decide to cancel your subscription. We may change the membership perks in the future.

You can unsubscribe at any time. After your subscription period is over, you’ll simply lose the membership perks. It is important to note that this HAS NO EFFECT on your plugins or installations. And the plugins that you have received as part of your membership are yours for life and will remain in your Sonisto Library.
