Begin by downloading and installing Dexed if you haven’t already done so. Ensure that it’s correctly installed and integrated with your digital audio workstation of choice.
Launch your digital audio workstation and open Dexed from your list of available plugins.
Once Dexed is open, look for the “CART” window which is situated at the bottom left side of the interface.
Click on the “CART” button. This will bring up a directory selection window.
In this directory selection window, navigate through your files and locate the directory that contains your soundbanks.
Once you’ve found the correct directory, click on it to open it. Inside you should see the SynprezFM tree.
Look for the SynprezFM tree in the top left side of the Dexed interface. Click on it to expand it.
Now that the SynprezFM tree is expanded, you will be able to see a list of available soundbanks. Double-click on any soundbank to load it into Dexed.
Once the soundbank has been loaded, you will see a list of sounds available in that soundbank. Click on any sound to load it into the plugin.
To test the sound, use your MIDI controller or the in-built keyboard in your digital audio workstation. Adjust parameters as needed to suit your production.
